In order to be a successful unit, a forklift needs to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for numerous hours of use. It has to be able to transport loads quickly and effectively as well. The machine should be comfortable and ergonomically correct for the operator as well.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain requires the power to continually provide great strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with strong gears and really tough shafts. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated to decrease vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
The Mazda LP and GM Gas Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machines offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimal repair or adjustment. These kinds of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which minimize wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Inside the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by effective fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all equipment. It features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that provide resistance when driving on rough environment. The strong clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts in order to reduce maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal that minimizes shock loading, increases durability and extends tire life. In addition, the auto deceleration feature reduces break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is made for extra durability with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This particular part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are completely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for damage and debris, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Additionally, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of ergonomic features and safety features. These machines will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
