Dangers of Type-G lift trucks
The lift truck is important for performing warehouse tasks. These extremely capable equipment raise and transport loads of huge size from one place to another. Lift trucks have lots of variations. The main variation is the way in which different types of forklifts are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the most common kind. They utilize liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts have big rechargeable batteries and run on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks utilize diesel and type "G" use gasoline. While all forklifts, similar to any piece of heavy machinery, could pose a hazard, gasoline powered forklifts pose the most risks.

Fire
Type G forklifts can present a fire hazard. Gasoline-powered lift trucks are not held to rigorous standards in reducing lessening fire hazards. The biggest cause of fire is due to gasoline leaks that allow gasoline fumes to escape. This could result from accidents and from driving on extremely rough terrain or normal wear. These circumstances pose a danger and could result in fire. Therefore, a typical Type G lift truck must never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed unacceptable. Like for instance, these kinds of forklifts must not be used around explosives or dangerous chemicals.

Explosion
Gas forklifts also pose a risk of explosion, as do diesel and liquid propane based forklifts. A gasoline fueled forklift could explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where a gasoline leak and an ignition source are present. An explosion can happen when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Due to toxic fumes, the gas lift truck does pose a risk for inhalation, which can be deadly in higher concentrations. Fumes can result from gasoline leaks or from the exhaust itself. Thus, a Type G forklift is not suggested for any setting that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious hazard in enclosed spaces. This type of forklift should be utilized with care when operated in close proximity to individuals.
