Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important goal is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed so as to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is extremely comfortable and gently rounded. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, in order to keep the operator functioning as effectively as she or he could.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, vibration levels and overall noise levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all individually adjustable as a way to maintain an optimum working position. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers that are offered for the horn, window washers, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
To ensure a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The equipment has a robust 3-speed fan for defrosting, recirculation, cooling and heating. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units which are all within easy reach. Basic instrumentation includes: low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, high coolant temperature, low brake pressure, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. Furthermore, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, operating time and fuel quantity.
The ECS or also called Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These models make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any errors which happen and their current values.
