The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight places during industrial and construction applications. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously inaccessible by conventional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing efficiency and production.
